War Games is a comedy/drama about an 18 year old schoolboy, Josh Walker, his relationship with his mates and the fascination his female history teacher has for him. Josh comes from a broken home, however he is a bright student and obsessed with playing laser tag, a war game that he plays every weekend with his best mate Todd.
Josh also has a girlfriend in Jena who is addicted to her mobile phone and pop music. Jena is also paranoid that fellow schoolgirl Amy Morgan is trying to steal Josh from her. However, it is Josh’s history teacher, the vivacious 23 year old Helen Russell, who has a more than a keen interest in Josh.
The play War Games unfolds rapidly as we follow Josh’s story in fast moving scenes that take the audience from battlefield to bedroom, from schoolyard to street in a madcap snap shot of a life at the end of schooldays and at the cusp of adulthood. Please note:
The play contains low-level course language.
