Butterflies Are Free is a play by Leonard Gershe.
Loosely based on the life of attorney Harold Krents, the plot revolves around a blind man living in downtown Manhattan whose controlling mother disapproves of his relationship with a free-spirited hippie.
AUDITION – BUTTERFLIES are FREE**
|Graham Harrington is directing the comedy “Butterflies are Free” for the Malanda Theatre Co. to be presented in late November. Auditions will be held at the Majestic Theatre at 6.30pm on Monday, August 27th and are open to non-members. The four characters are a man in his twenties who has been blind since birth; his Mother; a 19 year old girl; and a male director of a play, (who can be 30 to 50yrs old) she is auditioning for.
It is essential that anyone auditioning be familiar with the audition
